Hello Again! This is now week 7 of university. I am trying to make sure I can keep up with my work as the next week I am working a lot of overtime and do not want to let my reflections slide especially since I am so happy with how this course is going.
TOPIC DISCUSSION: POST MODERN ART
Post modern art was a very intense topic that we was discussion with the class on todays lesson and what it means and perhaps what the next 'New' Post Modern art medium will be which was rather interesting in hearing the classes response. (Umbrella Term 'New Medium Art.')
As we are now in a 'Post Modern' Era with its 'incredulity towards meta-narratives', can there be an 'ism' again? Particularly when thinking about art? Or do the massive opportunities presented by digital media, mean we are so far from understanding its boundaries and possibilities, that clarity is still a long way off? Talking about post modern art and the technicality development that has evolved through out generations from traditional paintings and the renaissance period until now where the enhancement of technology has allowed us to have a whole new digital art department. Art that uses digital technology as a tool in a process of making so called 'Traditional' Art. Art that uses technology as its medium is held within a digital environment its making, presenting and in exploring its interactive nature.
'AMODA' defines digital art as art uses digital technology in any of the three ways: as the product, as the process or as the subject.
Categorising art can also become concerning in setting up preidentified limits and trying to really understand art when it is consistently evolving as digital art is a prime example of art constantly evolving from the updates on technology and the different experimental approaches of what defines as art and how we can practice it in new ways.

Key word Discussions:
Illusive: The Idea of illusive is Illusion. So it can be a miss leading / unrealistic vision. The idea of deception of the eye. (E.g, the pyramids look like triangles from the front viewing face, but when you look at it from another perspective, you see it is 3D.)
Taxonomy: Taxonomy is a classification towards a group, Systematic group like a group of plants or animals (Categories).
