Learning Outcomes: LO1 - Formulate, describe and implement a challenging and self-directed programme of study, relating to your Study Statement. (AC Enquiry) LO2 - Implement appropriate working methods for building an independent and effective self-organisation that enables the critical engagement with practice-based research. (AC Process) LO3 - Communicate a critical understanding of your developing practice. (AC Knowledge, AC Communication) At the beginning of todays lesson, Jonathan (My lecture) started going more in depth about our individual projects over the duration of the 2 years. He was talking to us about the learning outcomes throughout the modules, how we are assessed on a LEVEL 7 Masters course through UAL and said about our starting pint which will be the 'Study Statement Proposal.' A study statement proposal is an outlined methodology in a way on what and how we want to execute our own projects. For the duration of the 2 years, we can do a project based on a concept of our personal choice. So, when writing a study statement, you can imagine as the project progresses, it can develop into a more refined area or a project can take a turn into another direction. So throughout the duration of the project I choose to do I will need to do many adaptions / versions of project proposals. https://www.arts.ac.uk/study-at-ual/academic-regulations/course-regulations/assessment. So really I guess now is the time where I need to think of a starting point for my project, start gathering research and experimenting with some practical's to help originate some ideas!

Breif Lesson Overview - week 5 - YouTube Within this lesson, we broke out into many groups talking about a specific artwork. Jonathan got us to watch a clip of ths artists project however only spoke about it in a Youtube video and our task was to discuss in groups the terminological ways of ''How are we suppose to do this'' and ''Why am I suppose to do this'' and if as artists we can discuss, explore and show our reasonings for this within our discussions and visual displays within our art. From the Video of exploring the 2 Ladies artwork of the installation work, my group spoke about how she didn't push further elaboration on speaking about the different sectors of their creation. It was very preliminary practice based research was my groups overall conclusion. There wasn't that critical engagement that aligned with Learning outcome 2 and 3 from the lessons critical outcomes. An example can be where she and her partner found a place that where getting rid of the ring parts from pub tables and they used them within their creation and us as a audience hearing this wanted to hear more about that but the topic was very briefly discussed.
